James Richards (aka
Jimbo McTwang) - Lead
guitar.
James has lived in the South London suburb of Norbury all his life until recently when he moved to Streatham.
This hasn't stopped him travelling the
planet in search of adventure, either on safari in Africa or canoeing up the Amazon in search of its source. When he is not in pursuit of the lost chord and the perfect riff, he earns his money playing poker in Las Vegas or blackjack
in Monte Carlo. He has been involved
with various bands and in a past life even played the bass in an early Charlie Parker trio. John Coltrane attempted to poach him for his be bop combo,
but he wanted to concentrate on the
guitar. He likes football and
his support for Chelsea reflects his
cosmopolitan outlook.
He is able to converse with every member of the team (some of whom
are close personal friends) in their own
language. Following the rock 'n' roll
example of Iggy Pop, he likes to play golf and plays off a handicap of plus two.
He doesn't like to show off though, so regularly plays with one hand tied behind his back and is still rarely beaten. He enjoys reading French existentialists, Russian poetry and is
a keen student of mediaeval archaeology.
He is devastatingly
handsome, possesses the strength of ten men and is a master of several martial arts. He tends to prefer a
casual shoe of a vaguely sporting
nature.His favourite guitar
players are Brian Setzer, Johnny Marr
and Scott Gorham. He also has a sneaking regard for Mark
guitarist. His favourite films are Spinal Tap and Leon and he has himself recently turned down an offer to play the lead role in a Yugoslavian interpretation of Hamlet. His favourite colour is a rather exciting choice. Blue, the colour of talent and beauty. You can contact him at james@pluko.com
